yes, it actually is, from a technical standpoint, very few boys I know that are in theatre can belt a note as high as is required at the end of Santa Fe. If you don’t believe me then name a guy who can belt that note without difficulty who isn’t on Broadway… I’ll wait. Not to mention how emotionally draining the role seems to be.
