I trained for years in my career as a theatre technician, how dare you suggest that roles backstage are available for some actor who can't accept they didn't get a role onstage. Grow up and learn to respect those who work in these highly skilled departments. Technical theatre is a career path, not a place holder until your next Casting. Nor is journalism, by the way.

I love that this article shows that acting isn’t the only thing to do in theatre. But it does seem to imply that these are options that could be easily jumped into on the off chance that you don’t get cast.
These are all careers that people study and train for. People spend years learning how to mix a show well or how to do the lighting design. It does seem to belittle all the hard work that these people have put into doing the thing they love.
Keep the article, but please change the title. “Other options in theatre” not “backup plan of you don’t get cast”
