The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby (7/8)

I hope a revival of this play can make it serve as a period piece for Victorian England. A lot of people think this play can’t work in the contemporary theatre landscape and they may be true, the commercial success of the play may diminish its messages about poverty, but a director who can get a story told once before and then retell it as if it were completely new could shape it into something else.

I’m not saying Michael Arden, but Michael Arden.

What do you think?
